The soft-touch coating is used for a special feel. Depending on the paint can feel slightly velvety, Gummy or Soft. The partial pressure also the matte effect of the soft-touch coating is a very good effect. The automotive industry uses this technology often in the design of interior surfaces.
Technical background
The paint can be applied in various processes such as offset lithography, flexography and screen printing, which can be downloaded into most layer thicknesses in screen printing. In general, it is transparent. Provided with pigments can of course also make a colored soft-touch paint.
Effect
The resist absorbs the light and thereby attenuates the underlying colors, resulting in the matte appearance. It is possible to print a lot of details, text and screen. By applying this paint a felt experience and a more real reference is reached to the refined element.
Application possibilities
In screen printing and foil, cardboard and other materials can be printed in addition to paper. There are best smooth and coated papers, as it stands also the best effect. It is recommended for other materials initially produce a test print. A falling edge and two-sided printing is possible.
Limitations
The surface is easily scratched. This must not only be observed when handling the finished product, but also already in the further processing. In addition, the anti-slip properties of the soft touch lacquer is to be considered in preparing the equipment and the run of the batch process.
Costs
The costs depend on the size of the subject. They are generally not very high for this procedure.
